They Just Arrived in Ukraine — This Is What It Took

Milan Momirović·06/05-2026· 2 minutter

Another convoy of cars from Denmark has just arrived in Ukraine. But what you don't see is what it actually takes to get them there.

These are not just vehicles. They are tools that will be put to use immediately. And in many cases, they won't last long. I met up with some of the drivers at a small pit stop early on the trip.

We stood there drinking coffee, talking, checking everything one last time. And then I watched them continue. At that point, they still had around 1,500 kilometers ahead of them on the first of two long days of driving. And then the border, waiting, paperwork, the cars being checked, and not just once, but on both sides. And you don't know if this will take a few hours or much more. Most of these drivers and co-drivers are not professionals. They're volunteers with families, jobs, normal lives. And still they choose to do this.

And now they have arrived. The cars have been handed over and put to use immediately. Mission complete. But the reality is in a few weeks some of these cars may already be gone. And that's exactly why this matters. It's not about one delivery. It's about doing it again and again and again. If you want to support efforts like this, you don't have to go to Ukraine, but you can still be part of it. I'll leave information below.
